Hay momentos específicos en que todo tiene que ser exagerado, especialmente porque Cubamafimba surgió para eso…, no para magnificar, sino para ponderar cuando de callado todavía se encentra sobre el mal llamado Continente Negro.
Y hay momentos en que se requiere abusar de repeticiones,
y de polisíndeton, y de hipérboles y de antítesis y de sinécdoque y de
metáforas; porque el Día Internacional de África así lo requiere.
De tal suerte, el Museo Casa de África —y ya viene la reiteración necesaria— tuvo a bien celebrar la fecha este sábado 25 de mayo con la participación de su director, máster Alberto Granado, quien habló del propósito de la institución; la máster Inaury Portuondo, especialista principal de la entidad, se refirió al aporte de África específicamente en la mayor de las Antillas y el doctor Ramón Torres, subdirector científico del Instituto Cubano de Antropología y portador cultural, disertó sobre abakuá, una asociación religioso mutualista venida del Calabar.
Miembros de cuerpos diplomáticos de diferentes naciones
africanas se personaron y compartieron saberes, no solo académicos, sino también
prácticos, en una suerte de taller de aprendizaje donde todo estuvo más alto
que de costumbre. Pero, como consideramos que las imágenes hablan por sí solas,
les dejamos constancia visual para que Cubamafimba
se precie de, tras un prolongado descanso en las redes, validar cuánto sigue
apostando por África como cuna de la humanidad y continente transido de poesía,
filosofía y auténtica ciencia, solo que diferente al canon occidental.

HIGHER THAN USUAL

There are specific moments when everything has to be exaggerated, especially because Cubamafimba emerged for that..., not to magnify, but to ponder when it is still silent about the so-called Black Continent.
And there are times when it is necessary to abuse repetitions, and polysyndeton, and hyperbole, and antithesis, and synecdoche, and metaphors; because International Africa Day requires it.
Thus, the Casa de África Museum – and the necessary reiteration is coming – saw fit to celebrate the date this Saturday, May 25, with the participation of its director, master Alberto Granado, who spoke about the purpose of the institution; the master's degree Inaury Portuondo, main specialist of the entity, referred to the contribution of Africa specifically in the largest of the Antilles and Dr. Ramón Torres, scientific deputy director of the Cuban Institute of Anthropology and cultural bearer, spoke about abakuá, a mutualist religious association that came of Calabar.
Members of diplomatic corps from different African nations appeared and shared knowledge, not only academic, but also practical, in a kind of learning workshop where everything was higher than usual.
